Karel De Lange is a visionary entrepreneur with a passion for connecting cultures through exceptional wines and spirits. With over 30 years of experience in business development, he has built a legacy of excellence, bringing the finest South African wines to the heart of Indochina.
In 2018, he forged a partnership with KWV, one of South Africa’s most prestigious wine brands, and established Marvel Beverage and Events Co., Ltd. Based in Bangkok, this endeavor became the bridge between South Africa’s rich winemaking heritage and the thriving markets of Thailand, Cambodia, Singapore, Malaysia, and Vietnam. Under his leadership, KWV Indochina by Marvel has flourished, making premium wines and spirits accessible to connoisseurs across the region.
His expertise extends beyond business—he is a storyteller, an ambassador of South African culture, and a leader who brings people together through shared experiences. As a key figure in the South African-Thai Chamber of Commerce, he has played a pivotal role in strengthening business and cultural ties between these two regions. His contributions were recognized when he was elected as Vice-Chair representing the Eastern Seaboard, further amplifying his impact.
